Milani Neon Blue with Fantasy Fire & Sally Hansen's Prisms Diamond Rose Pink Mix Mani

Milani Neon Blue with Fantasy Fire & Sally Hansen's Prisms Diamond Rose Pink Mix Mani

Today I'm wearing a 2 color mix & match mani, which I thought I'd love but I'm probably going to change tonight. I love the 2 colors individually, but they just aren't my favorite thing together. The Diamond Rose Pink is a discontinued Sally Hansen holo and it's truly gorgeous.

The Milani Neon Blue is great neon blue alone; however it's pictured here with a single top coat of Fantasy Fire which gives it wonderful holo color changing from blue to lavender to purple. This Milani formula is a great polish; it glides on solid and full color in one coat application and it is a self smoothing formula which I just love.

Above is the actual neon blue color poish; really a great blue!

I've just ordered Lush Lacquer's I Lost My Marbles and Gypsy Blue!! I can't wait to get these 2 in and do my nails! I'll review them as soon as they arrive! =)

Max Factor Max Effect Fantasy Fire nail polish

Max Factor's Max Effect in Fantasy Fire!!!

<3   Love Love Love!!!  <3

My favorite thing today is my DIY manicure with Max Factor's Max Effect Fantasy Fire nail polish. I fell head over heels for Fantasy Fire, thanks to all the bloggers out there who shared their photos and views of this gorgeous polish. I've been fortunate to come by this wonderful polish, as it is nearly impossible to get here in the US. This is the polish also called by nail bloggers the world over as 'Unicorn Pee' because it is so rare and mystically magical! I know, I know: the nickname gives quite the image! :/   At any rate, many thanks to a contact in the UK for helping me in this polish hunt!

Fantasy Fire is a holographic polish from Max Factor's Max Effect series. Fantasy Fire is a multi-faceted polish with all the hues and colors imaginable; it changes colors depending on how the light hits your nails! This is the polish also called by nail bloggers the world over as 'Unicorn Pee' because it is so rare and mystically magical! (I know, I know, the nickname gives quite the image! :/ Colors appear ranging from a rich burgundy to a coppery chocolate to a passionate plum to an intense green glow.  It is intended as a top coat to be used with undies (polish colors underneath). Max Effect polishes come in tiny bottles, so they must be used sparingly; which is difficult when you love Fantasy Fire as much as I do! Luckily it is going on 4 days with no chips and still looks like a brand new manicure! Have a look below and see what you think.

D:  The bottle is as tiny as my thumb!

I created a black cherry base with 2 colors combined to use as undies for Fantasy Fire. I used polish colors pictured above for this DIY manicure, listed below in order I applied to my nails.
  1. Sally Hansen Diamond Shine base coat
  2. A dark greenish black by Opi (I've had it a while, the name isn't readable any longer.)
  3. Avon's Cherry Jubilee
  4. Max Factor's Max Effect Fantasy Fire (2 coats)
  5. Seche Vite top coat (BTW my favorite top coat that has a nearly wet appearance. It bonds with your color polish creating a solid and long lasting manicure.)
  6. Wet n Wild's Wild Shine in clear (I added this a day later because I love the wet look.)

The iridescent shows up well here.

The green really stands out in these 2 photos.

All these wonderfully gorgeous colors in this tiny little bottle!

Hopefully you can see the shimmering flecks of sparkle in this close up.

I hope you're able to see the wonderful spectrum of color Fantasy Fire polish gives in these photos. I absolutely adore this polish and I am thoroughly enjoying this DIY manicure. Fantasy Fire nail polish is definitely one of my favorite things! What do you think about it?

I'm anxiously awaiting Max Factor's Max Effect Dazzling Blue. I can hardly wait to apply it to my nails and post all about it!

Until next post, happy blogging! =)

I'm Tammy and this is my blog about my favorite things

I have recently found the wonderful online world of blogging; I have thoroughly enjoyed glimpses of happy thoughts and views on new things from people all over the world. Today I finally decided to join the blogging community. I hope those of you who find time to read  about my favorite things will enjoy my blog and comment.

They say that things important to a person may change at different stages in life; as things happen to us, expected or unexpected, things that once were important are replaced by new fascinations.  Life changing events unfold before us, ready or not, and we learn to accept life's hardships and look forward with new hope. I think this is part of our journey in life; we are meant to find hope so that we can whether all that life has in store for us, good and bad, and find joy in new things so that we can move on. It is said that it is not the end result that matters, but rather the journey we take along the way. Throughout my journey, I have come to realize that the simplest things in life are my favorite things. I would like to share my favorite things with those who may find them of interest. I'm Tammy and this is my blog about my favorite things.

I look forward to sharing my favorite things in simple, everyday life. Happy blogging!  =)
